Respecting, Including and Connecting with Diverse Audiences

Lowe-Betts was vice president of marketing and branding for Tulsa Regional Tourism and served as chair of the diversity and inclusion task force. She was a steering committee member for the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial Commission and is the founding board chair of the Greenwood Rising Black Wall Street History Center. Lowe-Betts has a degree in broadcast journalism from Langston University and is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber Institute of Organization Management.
Hannah Jackson, an AWC past president, is a partner at Schnake Turnbo Frank, a PR consulting firm. She has worked on diverse projects, including coaching, management consulting, traditional media, strategic planning and resource development. Jackson has degrees in Journalism and Integrated Marketing Communications from the University of Central Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University, respectively. She has a coaching certificate from ATD and a certificate in Unconscious Bias from the Cultural Intelligence Center.
Molly Jarvis, an AWC past president, is senior vice president of marketing communications and cultural tourism for Cherokee Nation Businesses (CNB). Before this role, she was responsible for developing, implementing and managing the overall marketing and sales strategy for Cherokee Nation Entertainment, including the brand transition from Cherokee Casino Resort to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Before working for CNB, Jarvis held several positions with Williams Communications. She has a BS in Marketing and International Business and an MBA, both from OSU.
Tina Peña was born in Peru and moved to the United States in 1980. She is an associate professor of Spanish at Tulsa Community College, where she teaches Community and Medical Interpreting for the Interpreting Certificate Program and is the advisor for the Hispanic Student Association. Peña is also a host of “Temas en Tulsa,” a television program produced in Spanish that covers current events and topics of importance to Spanish-speaking viewers. A 2017 AWC Newsmaker, she currently represents the Hispanic community on nine Tulsa-area boards.
Yobana Ruiz began her career in finance and quickly realized her passion was in digital marketing and economic development. Before starting July Digital Studio, she was head of marketing at Supermercados Morelos, the largest Hispanic grocery store chain in Oklahoma, and spearheaded digital, design and e-commerce projects. July Digital Studio focuses on social media management, content creation, digital advertising and branding. Ruiz is a graduate of Oral Roberts University.
