Historically, the Tulsa professional chapter of AWC has awarded up to two scholarships to outstanding students studying in the field of Communications. In 2019, two $2,000 scholarships were awarded at the annual AWC Tulsa Professional Chapter Newsmakers Luncheon on May 1, 2019, at Southern Hills Country Club. Due to the postponment of Newsmakers in 2020, we also held off on opening the scholarship program that year.
We are excited to announce that the program is back and applications are now being accepted thru Midnight, April 9, 2021.

Winners are selected based on demonstrated excellence in communications, positive contributions toward communication on campus and/or in the community, demonstrated commitment to a career in the communications profession and scholastic achievement.
As an extra bonus to the scholarships awarded, a one-year membership to the Association for Women in Communications was added, thus paying for the recipient's national and local dues!
Criteria and submission instructions can be found in the Scholarship Application Guidelines.
